- Description: Self-regulation matters after composure fails: a bad moment can become a pattern, an excuse, or a point of repair. Naming the miss, reducing its residue, and changing the condition behind it prevents a reset from becoming another repeat.

Self-regulation includes what happens after you lose it.

Everyone has bad moments. The question is whether the bad moment becomes a pattern, a private excuse, or a repair point.

Fast repair reduces residue. Name the miss without drama, clean up the immediate cost, and change the condition that made the leak likely. A reset that changes nothing is a pause between repeats.

Operator artifact: reset note: what leaked, who absorbed it, immediate cleanup, condition to change, replacement move next time.

Field test: Reset quickly: name the miss, reduce the residue, and change one condition.
