Social awareness is useful only if it changes your next move.

Sometimes the right action is to pause because the room cannot absorb more. Sometimes it is to escalate because silence hides real risk. Sometimes it is one better question that makes the hidden issue speakable.

The mistake is collecting social signals and then plowing ahead with the original plan. Read the room, then choose: slow down, surface the objection, change forum, or move authority to the person who can decide.

Operator artifact: use a move selector: pause if capacity is low, ask again if the objection is vague, escalate if risk is material, proceed if the concern is named and owned.

Field test: Choose the smallest move that makes the hidden issue speakable.
