Self-regulation is the capacity to stay useful when your first reaction would make the work worse.
Pressure does not create character from scratch. It reveals the habits already running: rushing, freezing, blaming, defending, over-explaining, or disappearing.
The point is not to become emotionless. The point is to keep your nervous system from becoming the team's operating system. A strong operator can feel the spike and still choose the move that serves the work.
Operator artifact: build a pressure reset checklist: trigger, default move, physical cue, pause rule, replacement sentence, repair action if you leak.
Field test: Identify your default pressure move and design one interruption before it reaches the room.
